Ivory Nut

Ivory Nut, also known as vegetable ivory, is a natural material derived from the seeds of the ivory palm tree (Tagua Palm), native to regions in South America and Southeast Asia. The texture of the ivory nut is extremely hard and dense, with an appearance and feel similar to animal ivory, hence the name. Since ivory nut is a sustainable plant material that does not involve harming animals, it has become an ideal substitute for animal ivory.

Ivory nuts can be carved into various handicrafts, such as jewelry, buttons, sculptures, and other accessories. Its surface is smooth, with a fine texture, typically appearing in a creamy white color. After polishing, it can achieve a high level of shine. Therefore, ivory nut not only closely resembles real ivory in appearance but is also highly favored in the jewelry and handicraft markets due to its eco-friendly and renewable nature.
